Make : Grow : Thrift

Each Monday you can link to a post on your blog sharing with us something that is handmade, homegrown, homemade (such as a recipe) or recycled/thrifted.

This does not need to be craft or sewing based. This is all about making our lives a little greener week by week.

For me this week it's Grow!
Our poor vegie patch has been quite neglected of late even though we are still picking feeds of potatoes, carrots and the odd tomato.  You can't compare the taste or freshness and creating a thriving vegie patch is high on the list of my priorities for 2012.

So first with the clean up.

This is what is looked like before (luckily it's behind a fence at the rear of our property so no-one can see it!).

This is definitely a work in progress but already only after a couple of wheelbarrows few of leaves and weeds it's starting to look much better. I'll keep you updated on how it progresses throughout the year.

What have you Made : Grown : Thrifted this week?
Ok, I'm trying a new linky tool this week so hopefully it works a little better than the last one!

A vegie garden is on my list of things to do this year, Jodie. We are going to re-purpose the kids' sandpit, once we get some good weather again. Good on you, keep at it. Can't wait to see what you GROW :)

Your garden is looking good now! I favour things that pretty much look after themselves!!!! We don't have much room but try to grow enough for most of our herb needs and a few greens and other easy, hardy veggies. Our eggplants are loving this rain at least!!!! Happy week! X

Your garden is looking good Jodie! After the rain here in Brisbane, the vegie patch is thriving!
