Down Under Textiles

Down Under Textiles is Australia's first dedicated magazine to fibres, yarns & textiles.

I picked up a copy at the recent Australasian Quilt Convention. The mag has some fantastic tutorials on techiques such as making a silk paper sheet, stitching on water soluable plastic, making a felted journal cover and also gives step by step instructions onm making a silk leaves necklace (as pictured botton right). As well as articles and textile news.

Distribution is still limited but the publisher & editor Deborah Segaert has put together a list of stockists on her blog.
