Featured Handmade Business: Thea & Sami

Thea Samios became a mature age student to study Craft & Design in Canada, before settling back in Australia to establish Thea & Sami in December 2006 with her partner Voyt.

Thea & Sami design and hand-print on natural and organic fabrics from their Brisbane based studio and only use water-based and non-toxic inks.

Using Flax & Nautral Linens, Hemp & Organic Cotton (including Jersey), no large yardage is available as Thea only does small runs of her gorgeous designs.
With a growing list of stockists, Thea & Sami can be found in small boutiques to the National Museum Shop in Canberra.
The limited-edition range of house-wares and accessories include bags, napkins, cushions & tea towels.

Thea & Voyt are very excited about their new studio & shop due to open 30th April, 2011.  These pictures show that the screen printing benches are already in use and the shop front is ready for fitout to start.

Thea runs full day screen printing classes with a maximum of 6 per class. They are not run very often so they sell out quickly. The fee includes materials & ongoing support.
