My perfect holiday reading spot is in a little secluded garden area at a local historical cottage. It's usually so peaceful there and always beautiful. :)

Pre-children my favourite reading spot was definitely the beach, but that is no longer! Now, it's tucked up on the couch in the sun room while they are having their day sleep - bliss!!

Before I had my children, I loved to read on the beach in the summer... now, I can't take my eyes off them at the beach. Instead, I love to be tucked up on the couch in the sunroom while they have their daytime sleep - pure bliss!

My favourite holiday reading spot would be curled up on the back verandah, looking out over the mountain ranges and at the gum trees and ducks swimming on the pond :-)

We are heading to the beach for a week at christmas time so I think my favourite holiday spot to read is going to be a shady, grassy spot near to the water so a dip can be taken whenever required!

Belinda said...

So cute! Think I'll read this at the beach...

This looks fantastic! I would be having a mini holiday after the kids bedtime in the "parents retreat" (which is just my bedroom with my own hand painted sign that says just that "the parents retreat") A closed door, air con and peace and quiet of the night time.

I send weeks late into the night crafting gifts for others at xmas... I enjoy it! This would be a lovely cheeky gift for me.

My perfect reading spot is on the front porch with a cup of tea on a sunday morning.

I have had a flick through this at Jody Pearl;s studio...it was a beautiful flick and I would love to sit and linger over one with a cuppa. xx

My perfect holiday reading spot is out on the back patio, on the sofa, with my husband and daughter otherwise occupied. My two dogs are welcome to join me however. I would have a pile of crafty magazines (quilting, cross stitch, sewing, knitting etc etc) next to me and an imaginary list of "to do" projects that would actually be done. I would start the morning with cake and a cuppa, move on to relaxed lunch, hit afternoon with a civilised glass of champas and nibbles, and all the while my project list growing :)

My perfect holiday reading spot would be on a sunny tropical beach. Unfortunately, I live in rainy Oregon so I'll just have to use my imagination.

Nothing beats the back verandah, in the shade, sun beating down all around you, cool sea breeze blowing across your skin. Only problem is the mango juice sticking the pages!

In the guest room is an old iron daybed that I've loaded with quilts and pretty cushions. It is the perfect place to go when I want to quietly read. And so convenient to take a nap if the book puts me to sleep, lol.

I am so excited to find this blog and to learn of the magazine giveaway. We are renovating a 100 year old former bank, adding living quarters, crafting areas and a bakery. Right now, when I take time to read, I curl up in a big chair with tea and some home-baked goodness, with at least one of our four-legged children, and often our grandson in my lap. It sure would be awesome to receive such a fun read to help me enjoy a quiet moment.
