Printed magazines are the perfect indulgence when I finally close my office door after spending all day in front of my computer and sewing machine. Personally, I read a lot of blogs everyday so online mags can feel a little bit the same for me.
But one definitely worth a look is Toffee magazine which has just launched with it's 1st quarterly online issue. With over 90 pages of indie arts & craft news, it covers a lot of ground including profile articles, reviews on books, music & products, a massive craft insert and even a beauty section.
The fantastic 24 page craft inclusion has loads of downloadable paper designs & you can print off templates to sewing projects (a Christmas stocking & bib).
Pics & graphics are all a treat, there isn't stacks of ads and you're able to click straight through to any links that take your fancy - gotta love that! And it's only $2.99 AUD.
So how do you like your mags - printed, online or a little of both?
I'm with you. I read lots of blogs, online mags can be difficult but I've recently found Maeve magazine and tend to just leave it open all day and read bits as I have a chance and have been really enjoying that.
ReplyDeleteYes I received Maeve in my inbox yesterday as well, but haven't had a chance to read it yet!
ReplyDeleteI really like to actually 'flip through' the pages of a mag, so I'm a print girl!

Definitely in print... with so many articles digitalized, it is nice to curl up with a mug of coffee and something you can flick through 'manually'! And then it can be treasured for years to come on the shelf...
ReplyDeleteI love holding magazines in my hands, but I did subscribe to this one, just to check it out! Have you seen the gifted magazine from creature comforts? absolutely amazing!
ReplyDeleteYes Cate I have seen Gifted - it's gorgeous!!
